Our Roots: From Recovery to Regeneration
Darci and Andrew — “DnA” — founded Deschutes Produce in 2021, a small family-run farm in the heart of Central Oregon where they learned to grow food in one of the country’s most challenging climates. Over years of farming in Central Oregon’s wild temperature swings, they mastered the art of nurturing crops that flourish through heat, frost, and everything in between. For more than a decade, they’ve nurtured thriving gardens.

Darci, who has been growing and harvesting medicinal herbs for over 20 years, began her journey into whole-food healing after her own cancer diagnosis — a wake-up call that reshaped her life’s purpose.
She learned firsthand that when the body is deprived of real food, imbalance takes root. As she recovered, she made a commitment:
“If I ever got healthy again, I’d help others find nourishment that truly supports their bodies — naturally.”
That promise became the foundation of Deschutes Produce, and now with Naturally Elevated Microgreens, Darci and Andrew are expanding their most powerful offering — broccoli microgreens — into freeze-dried capsules and powders, making real, nutrient-dense food accessible to anyone, anywhere.
A Family Farm with a Purpose
In late 2024, Darci and Andrew were honored to acquire Naturally Elevated Microgreens, expanding their Deschutes Produce operation to reach more of their community with nutrient-dense microgreens.
Their homestead and gardens sit nestled near the Deschutes River, where three large hoop houses hum with life.
- One is dedicated to the Super Salad & Stir-Fry Hardy House, where cold-hardy greens thrive through Oregon’s wild temperature swings.
- Another nurtures tender crops like tomatoes, peppers, and squash, started early in a heated nursery Andrew built by hand.
- The third shelters delicate greens, ensuring the plants stay vibrant even when the night air dips below freezing.

Andrew is the green thumb behind it all — the quiet caretaker whose expertise ensures every tray of microgreens is planted, nurtured, and harvested with precision, patience, and intention. His decade of hands-on growing experience guarantees the consistency and vitality of each batch, supporting Darci’s vision of healing through nutrient-dense food.
Together, they represent both sides of nourishment — the science of cultivation and the soul of recovery.
